The fully-featured REEF-SPEC® MAX® NANO provides everything necessary to enjoy the beauty and diversity of your own piece of thriving coral reef with all of the features developed for the largest of the MAX® range of complete reef aquarium systems.
MAX® NANO features the Prime HD LED lighting with WiFi control, REEF-SPEC filtration and circulation systems, and includes an Automatic Top-Off with RO reservoir. Setting up and maintaining a nano reef or marine system has never been easier!
This aquarium kit does not contain a cabinet!
MAX® NANO G2 concept
The MAX NANO G2 systems come with everything needed to sustain a reef aquarium, sparing you from dealing with component selection or compatibility concerns.
They come with a 5-year extended warranty, and are ideal for first-timers who want to experience what it’s like to grow their own corals, as well as advanced reefers interested in a tank that won’t consume too much space or time.
Every piece of qeuipment incorporated into the MAX NANO G2 system is REEF-SPEC
which is the criteria that represents the ideal conditions required in an aquarium for sustaining coral health and optimizing coral growth of all kinds, based on Red Sea´s 30 years of research on the needs of corals in artificial environments.
Lighting
Our long term research into the photobiological needs of corals in artificial environments has led to the REEF-SPEC lighting criteria, which is the basis for the lighting configurations used in all Red Sea aquarium systems.
The MAX NANO G2 models incorporate Red Sea’s ReefLED 50 light, with a light intensity and spectrum that is 100% utilized by the corals, ensuring optimal coral growth and coloration. In addition, the ReefLED 50 has a Moonlight channel to provide low levels of light for reef-safe nighttime viewing.
Filtration
The heart of the MAX NANO G2 filtration system is the MAX NANO protein skimmer, which removes the vast majority of the waste produced by the aquarium inhabitants, as well as thoroughly oxygenating the water.
Circulation
MAX NANO G2 systems provide REEF-SPEC water flow, which is crucial for providing corals and other sessile invertebrates with the nutrients and minerals necessary for growth.
The MAX NANO REEF-SPEC circulation system has a 950 liter per hour Sicce return pump for the Cube and Peninsula, and a 1550 liter per hour Sicce return pump for the XL. Both will circulate their tank’s entire water volume about 10 times an hour.
MAX® NANO G2 Peninsula dimensions
The MAX NANO Peninsula is the same height and width as the MAX NANO Cube, but its larger depth adds almost 40% more to the display space.
This additional depth keeps the reef compact, but provides more room for corals and allows for more impressive reefscapes.

MAX® NANO Fully equipped rear sump
- The hidden rear sump is topped by a rotatable screen, for easy access.
- The water is filtered via a removable surface skimmer, a bespoke 225-micron filter sock, a MAX NANO protein skimmer, a media chamber containing 100g of REEF-SPEC Carbon and a bubble trap.
- The REEF-SPEC circulation system has a 950 LPH Sicce return pump for the Cube and Peninsula, and a 1550 LPH Sicce return pump for the XL.
- Both circulate their tank’s entire water volume about 10 times an hour. The water returns to the display via a multidirectional, adjustable nozzle.
- The rear sump also includes an auto top-off with an RO reservoir, and is both ReefATO+ and NanoMat-ready.

The MAX NANO G2 models have a rimless design, with a 10mm ultra-clear glass for the XL, and an 8mm ultra-clear glass for the cube & Peninsula.
MAX® NANO ReefATO+ and NanoMat ready rear sumps
MAX NANO G2 systems are ReefATO+ ready, allowing you to benefit from an extremely reliable auto top-off, temperature monitor and leak detector.
MAX NANO G2 systems also have a removable filter sock compartment that is replaceable with the NanoMat- an enhanced mechanical filter with an auto-advance fleece-roll mechanism that keeps your aquarium water crystal clear.

MAX® NANO Pump power center
The MAX NANOs have a built-in power center with conveniently located on/off switches for the skimmer and circulation pumps, enabling easy access for feeding and maintenance.
MAX® NANO Rotatable rear sump screen
The rotatable screen allows easy access to the rear sump housing the filtration & circulation systems, thereby ensuring that the aquarium’s organic look is undisturbed.
MAX® NANO Marine-spec cabinet (optional)
MAX NANO G2 systems are available with an optional marine-spec laminate cabinet fronted with weatherproof epoxy painted doors, convenient push openers and soft close stainless steel hinges.
MAX NANO G2 cabinets are offered with black or white exteriors.
